Von Baratti erstreckt sich der Rimigliano Naturpark, eine Oase für Tiere und Pflanzen mit herrlichen Naturlandschaften und Sandstränden. Ganz im Herzen der etruskischen Küste ist der ideale Ort für Tauchliebhaber.

Die Farben von Baratti

Ein Sand aus changierenden Farben, die von schwarz zu blau und von braun zu rot wechseln, ist das Markenzeichen dieses kreisförmigen Golfs, den die Grenze mit dem Archäologischen Park von Baratti und Populonia bestimmt.

Baratti in der Geschichte

Bevor die Küstenerosion langsam diese Paradiesecke modellierte, hatten die antike Etrusker Öfen für die Eisenverarbeitung gebaut, deren Resten in einigen Felsen bis heute spürbar sind, die vom Meer an die Oberfläche kommen. Dank des Überschusses an Eisen hat den Sand seine charakteristische Farbe bekommen.

Von der Autobahn, die Grosseto mit Livorno (SS1) verbindet, San Vincenzo oder Venturina Ausfahrt nehmen, Richtung Piombino fortfahren und den Hinweisen für Baratti folgen.
