Venturina Thermal Baths is a village situated 9 km far from the municipality\u00a0of <strong>Campiglia Marittima<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>From Caldana and Aquae Populoniae to Venturina Thermal Baths<\/h3>\n<p>Venturina Thermal Baths, despite its recent <strong>name<\/strong> dating back to the 19th century, were known by the <strong>Etruscan<\/strong>s\u00a0as &#8220;<strong>Caldana<\/strong>&#8220;, or \u201c<strong>warm earth<\/strong>\u201d for the health properties its waters (36\u2103). This site was called then from\u00a0the Romans \u201c<strong>Acqua Populoniae<\/strong>\u201d. After decades of neglect, it followed in the 19th century a period of rebirth\u00a0and prosperity with the opening in the town of a railway station. Today is one of the most appreciated thermal\u00a0center of Italy.<\/p>\n<h3>The thermal Park of Venturina<\/h3>\n<p>The<strong> Venturina Thermal Park<\/strong> covers almost 60 hectares surrounded by the <strong>hills<\/strong> of Val Cornia,\u00a0from where you can enjoy the view of the blue sea. Here, the sulphurous Aquae Populoniae at a temperature\u00a0of 36\u00b0C, flow into a huge<strong> underground river<\/strong> which water are rich in <strong>minerals<\/strong> contained in limestone, from\u00a0where come out naturally in <strong>two craters<\/strong>: <strong>Caldana<\/strong> and the small <strong>Bottaccio lake<\/strong> also known with the name of\u00a0the wellness center of <strong>Calidario<\/strong>. Today\u2019s spa complex consisted of a main building where you can enjoy many treatments and exceptional moments of relax. For more<\/p>\n<h3>How to get to Venturina Thermal Baths<\/h3>\n<p>From SS1 Aurelia, exit at Venturina direction Venturina \/ Piombino Porto. Follow the signs to Suvereto and\u00a0exit SS398 of Val di Cornia. Continue to the SP39 Old Aurelia.
