Choreographer, dancer,\u00a0painter and sculptor during the Nazi era, Spoerri has created a large and enchanting sculpture park in Maremma\u00a0opened for public in 1997. This area is outside the charming village of <strong>Seggiano,<\/strong> in <strong>Alta Val d\u2019Orcia<\/strong>,\u00a0just an hour from Grosseto.<\/p>\n<h3>The Garden<\/h3>\n<p>By now there are in the <strong>Daniel Spoerri Garden<\/strong> installations of about <strong>50 artist<\/strong>s in an area of about 20 hectares,\u00a0all perfectly integrated with the environment. An articulate path where is it also possible to cruise admiring\u00a0the works in a <strong>dreamlike atmosphere<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Some of the Garden&#8217;s sculptures<\/h3>\n<p>In the Daniel Spoerri Garden we can admire the origami iron by the<strong> Japanese Kimitake Sato<\/strong>, the installation\u00a0<em>The Warriors<\/em> of the same <strong>Spoerri<\/strong> in which four bronze soldiers are sleeping in a pond; <em>Dummies<\/em> (always of\u00a0Spoerri), or seven bronze figures that recall the imaginative figures of Mir\u00f2; <em>Dies irae &#8211; Jour de Colere<\/em> by\u00a0<strong>Olivier Estoppey<\/strong>: a truly gorgeous sculpture featuring 160 stone ducks marching their way towards\u00a0Seggiano at the beat of three colossal Drummer Men.<\/p>\n<h3>How to get to Daniel Spoerri Garden<\/h3>\n<p>Coming from Grosseto direction Siena take after 20 km the SP64 at Cipressino, turn right towards Paganico\/\u00a0Monte Amiata and stay on this road until you arrive at Castel del Piano. Follow the direction to Seggiano.\u00a0Before arriving at Seggiano turn right (direction Pescina).
